Ta-Da! Still curly....

Well---Jake got his haircut, but his hair is now curlier than ever! He looks just like his daddy did at the same age!

Jake's First Solid Food - Part 1

On Friday Jake had his six month check-up. He weighed in a little over 18 pounds and 28 very long inches long! He's in the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. Right on track to be a tall healthy boy!
The pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to start Jake on solid foods so today was his first real meal. Grandma Dottie was on-hand to help with the big event. Jake's been ready for a couple weeks for "real" food but we held off until we were done traveling and could focus on doing this right. I swear he knew the big day had finally arrived!
These photos were taken before we started feeding him and I think you can see the anticipation! LOL

Jake's First Solid Food - Part 2

Jake took to the rice cereal as if it were prime rib. He had no real trouble swallowing or spitting a ton of it back out. He was so funny, reaching out for more and more! I think he's ready for this solid food thing. So...our life changes yet again! Everyday is different and new. (click on the photos for a better view)

Jake's First Solid Food - Part 3

Thanks so much Grandma! That was fun!

Look At That Baby!

Jake has figured out how to suck on his lower lip and he looks so funny! I just had to snap a photo of the crazy kid! A face only a mama could love!

Happy Halloween Jake!

Poor Jake! We dressed him up in this crazy Lobster costume for Halloween. Everyone we passed at the Houston Quilt Festival that night thought he was adorable, but his patience lasted about 30 minutes and that was it! He was a good sport for sure!

Jake in Houston

We traveled to Houston for the last show of the year and little Jake went along with us. He sat in his jumper while I set up the booth. He was such a good sport and didn't get cranky until the very end of the day. I didn't blame him a bit---I was cranky too.
